Ryan S. Swehla, CCIM
Ryan brings extensive experience in consulting and project management, specifically in three key areas: rigorous financial analysis, intimate knowledge of operating companies, and a deep understanding of market fundamentals.
Prior to founding Benchmark Commercial Real Estate Services, he was principal and owner of Tuolumne Capital Partners, a commercial real estate consulting company that managed a $108 million commercial real estate portfolio. Prior to founding Tuolumne Capital Partners, Ryan was a principal at a commercial real estate investment company with assets throughout Central California. He managed a portfolio of $35 million in real estate assets.
Ryan's expertise in financial and market analysis was honed as the first financial analyst at Gruber & McBaine Capital Management, a San Francisco-based hedge fund with $4 billion in assets under management at the time.
Ryan currently serves in the City of Modesto as a member of the Board of Zoning Adjustment. He holds a CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Manager) designation and a State of California Brokers License. He is a Young Leader member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and has completed ULIs Advanced Development Workshop. Mr. Swehla earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Management with minors in Finance and Economics from Columbia University.
Married with three young children, Ryan is part of the next generation of leadership in Californias Central Valley. He is a founding member of Commonwealth Modesto, a group of young business leaders focused on solving community issues. He currently serves as the board vice president of Doctors Medical Center Foundation and as board president of Great Valley Academy Charter School and St. James Church in Modesto. He is an active Rotarian and an Eagle Scout.
